USOC Safesport Training is now mandatory training is required for you to maintain your Instructor Trainer status.
The SafeSport Online training program teaches about the nature of misconduct in sport: How to recognize it, how to prevent it and how to take action. The information in the course will help to keep sport a positive experience for every athlete, coach and volunteer.
To complete the training, which takes about 2 hours, please take the following steps:
- Go to: http://training.teamusa.org/
brands/details?brandId=6 - Click on “SafeSport” (above the Free button).
- Click on “Add to Bag” (lower right).
- Click on “Checkout” then register your account.
- Select “USA Sailing” when you log in. It will be listed as the membership.
- Log in with your new credentials and access the class.
